Dr. Chien was born in Missouri but has spent most of her life in San Jose. During her free time she likes to be with her family, however "free time" has turned into raising her 2 young sons and spending as much "mommy" time with them as possible. Watching them grow and develop gives her joy beyond words, and they have truly given Dr. Chien's life a new meaning. With the boys, her husband and her family she loves to travel and see as much of the world as possible. When time permits she enjoys baking and creating her own greeting cards.
She also has special interest in medical education and the use of computers in medicine.
